How To Get A Nice Suburban Home In Lynchburg VA

After working for 5 years as a columnist in my hometown, I sent out application letters to several papers across the country. Surprisingly, a new local magazine in Lynchburg, Virginia replied to my letters and wanted me to move there. I knew the place is not a top pick, nor was it too popular. But that’s what made the appeal. So I said yes right away and immediately started making arrangements.

Lynchburg had its appeal on me because of some of the things I found out about it. One of the most inviting features of Lynchburg for me was the low cost of living and the impressive rate of employment which was relatively high. Other than the fact that I wanted to move to a place where nobody knows me, I really wanted financial security. When I looked at some statistics regarding the business  sector, I found out that the labor force of the city is mainly skilled, unemployment was really low and living in the city is more than affordable compared to where I came from.

The magazine that I was going to work for is about the local industries in Virginia, and Lynchburg in its own respect had nuclear technology, pharmaceuticals and material handling to boost. Needless to say, the economy is very stable.

Other factors that led me to move in to Lynchburg are that state taxes are low, and the banks offer good rates. The city is great for opening savings accounts, checking accounts and money market accounts because according to MoneyRates.com, the state of Virginia has four of the best banks in the country, which proves how the banking business here is exemplary.

The houses are lovely and attractive. The population is just right and the communities seemed friendly and hospitable. I wanted to get a house of my own because I was too fed up with my flat. I wanted space, inspiration and lots of rooms. The house has to have at least 3 bedrooms, 1  for me, 1 for my office, and 1 for guests. I am a bachelor up until now and house parties are my thing.

The average price of decent looking houses in Lynchburg is around 150,000 to 180,000. The price is just right for 2 floors, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a wide garden. The typical area ranged from 1500 to 2000 square foot which is big enough for a decent house, a front garden, and a backyard for parties.

I did not want to get duped by greedy realtors that is why I searched for notable realtors from Lynchburg. It was easy though because I only had to refer from trusted review sites with comments and testimonials from happy buyers. In order to get to these review sites, I simply used location based keywords such as realtors Lynchburg, realtor Lynchburg VA, and real estate agent Lynchburg.
